What's the surface finish RMS on the top of that block? I'm surprised MAP runs that rough of a surface finish. I'm sure you don't have a profilometer, but who knows...maybe you do!
Good luck Ryu, great to see you back on the forums. I too got Married this year...and yes your car does take the back burner. Seems that your racing buddies never understand (where's your car? why aren't you racing this year?) and their questions never end.
Congratulations on your marriage and good luck this up and coming year.

The surface finish of the block feels very smooth. Perhaps the low quality camera makes it appear a bit rough.
Thanks. I'm currently waiting on an oil cooler and injectors to be able to turn the key once the motor is in the car. I project it should be running for the first time within the next 2 weeks.

Update:
The motor is out of the car....
and this is what a 9 second stock block looks like coming out of a 3,000lb daily driver.
As soon as a few select parts arrive this week, the built motor will be assembled and installed.

I'm guessing MAP didn't let you use that as a core??
BTW, nice job with that...Probably one of the holiest blocks I've seen!!
Looking forward to more updates sir!

I think my block looked almost as bad as that. In for updates.
And I got y'all rookies beat by 13 years. Just celebrated yesterday. Had to put cars on the back burner for about 3 years after we got married then having another kid delayed stuff for another 2.
I got so much static from my friends for selling some of my projects to fund other things like buying a house and buying a slightly more practical car.
Contrats on tying the knot.

Sorry for the delay on updates everyone. I've been waiting on parts and have been quite busy with customers cars as of late, that I've been neglecting my own car.
I'm happy to report we have finished assembling the motor and it's finally back in the car. The remainder of the parts should arrive next week for final assembly.
