Question oil pan leaks

I went under my car today to change the oil and noticed oil dripping from the drain plug on the oil pan. I searched around and seemed to have located the source, it appears it is coming from the oil pan area closest to the flywheel. Has anyone had this problem? I also had a a few drips on my garage floor. BTW my EVO only has 1000 mi.

i noticed a small leak when my car had 500 miles on it, i changed the oil @ 1200 and the leak is gone, sometimes the seals have to set up, but it should stop leaking.

Oil leak from pan

I noticed about a dozen quarter sized drops on my garage floor yesterday afternoon. Took it into the dealer this morning, and they said the oil pan is leaking from what they believe is the gasket seal. They'll need to order special gasket sealer and then perform the repair. I've got about 900 miles on the Evo.

Whatever happened to using a pre-cut gasket?

I ended up taking mine into the dealer. They confirmed the leak and reapired it. No more leaks. Sounds like your service guys are doing the same thing to yours as mine. Good luck!

Any of you guys had the leak come from the oil return line? That's where mine was and the dealer fixed it.

No, my leak was just from the back left corner of the oil pan. A leak from the return line had to be messy!
