PTE 6766 Billet CEA Ball Bearing Turbo Info Thread **
Since the Stm Test on the Ricer and the exellent Results they achived , and the recent Release of this Turbo Pte 6766R ball bearing , we have gotten some emails , Pms and calls asking us about the turbo if we had some info on it and if we had them instock and well since we had them here on the shelf i decided to take some Pictures of it and share it with the community.
Also i thought we could use this as an info thread in case anyone had quiestions or wanted to point out info on the Pte 6766 Turbo, if u are installing it or have daily driven it and want to share some data please do so.
The pics are from the 6766 Ball Bearing T3 on a .82 , and with the antisurge
The turbo just looks amazing
Precision recently redesigned their 65mm turbine wheel, improving on its efficiency, and increasing the size to 66mm. They advertise a 30hp boost in power with the same, or better spool thanks to its better design. The new 66mm turbine wheel is a CEA design which means you will gain the similar benefits from a cast CEA exhaust wheel as you do from the billet CEA compressor wheel.

So they finally stopped using the turbonetics turbine wheels (65) and "made" there own with a weaker yet more "aerodynamic" design......then import it from China and all the sudden its a big deal?

+1 as well. I am curious to see proof the design is "weaker" and as that implies... poses an issue. Also curious to see him show the wheel is chinese. I will keep an open mind but honestly without some kind of reliable information to back up the claim, at first glance it looks like nothing more than an attempted smear of Precision posted.
Until then... what has been proven so far, is that this unit can make great power.

Sounds like a BW or holset fanboy who wants to rain on precision's parade. From all testing seen, the 66mm turbine is a beast. On a supra, the 6266 outspooled and made the same hp as the old 6765. The 6766 added 50+whp on top.
My 6266 is on its way :-)

I did alot of research and talking to ppl about that very decision when ordering my kit. I was sold on the HTA86 when PTE released the 66mm turbines.
FP is down the street from me, so Robert is right there if I ever have issues w/ the HTA turbo.
And i ordered the 6266 based on overwhelming recommendation from every shop I called. Take what you will from it.

Even if that was true about the turbonetics wheels being used, I wouldn't say they are weak. The top drag cars runnning 6's and 7's use turbonetics turbos. Can't be that weak. Just my opinion. Precision makes good stuff. I'm all for this turbo.
