Going for the drop-in build at English Racing

About 48,000 miles when I dropped it off at English. Never been launched, but I cooked the clutch a bit once in downtown Seattle trying to get it rolling on a huge hill with a full complement of passengers and stuff in the trunk. Its never shown any sign of slipping though. Handles WOT 4th gear 390 ft-lbs no prob. Yeah, I'll be using English Racing's Dynojet to tune.

That is amazing, I really didn't think that the stock clutch could handle that kind of torque.

Good luck on the build! Can't wait to see what the BBK-Full can do!
What's the difference between a drop in build and a full build?
You're replacing the rods/pistons/bearings and such both ways... what else am I missing? Various levels of head work can be done as well in either case.

Woo! Nice dude! Do you just have the head and oil pan off and the block still in the car, or did the motor come out? Basically if it's out, definitely do the clutch. You'll be kicking yourself later if you don't. But, if it's still in, rip that stocker! Impressive!

Motor stays in the car, so no economy in doing the clutch at the same time. I figure I'll see what the stock clutch can hold from a roll in 3th gear, back down the power a bit from there, and live with it for a few months while I wait for some more info on a few clutches I'm eyeballing.
ACT HDG6, screw everything else. Done
