IHMO, drop-ins is a great option for low mileage engines. Make sure the shop knows what they are doing. I can think of only a handful of shops that I would trust to do a drop-in build on a 4G63.

I'm going to try the DW301 without a rewire first. Hoping that it won't overrun the stock FPR at idle. If it does, I'll be slapping in an aeromotive fpr.

Awesome, looking forward to final results once your fuel issue is sorted!

Must admit that I doubt I'll get much more power than Revobasher just posted (450tq/500whp DJ). I do have a ported IM, ported head, and better DP setup, but I still have a MAF restriction. Looking forward to trying though!

I would like to see pics of the cardboard cold airbox. sounds like a cool idea. lightweight, stiff, cheap, easy to cut and absorbs sound well.

Ugly but effective:

Did you see the one that Kidloco51 had made up from aluminum sheet? Pretty much the same idea, but very nice looking.

If only the clutch had not decided to go poop on me, I would join you on the dyno. I was planning on heading down that way Thursday night.

I'm a bit worried that mine is going to slip on the dyno. Might have to keep torque artificially low.

That would be the time when you will find out just how strong the clutch is.
