O-ringing substitute

Got this high powered Evo that seems to need engine o-ringing, pressure is escaping through the head gasket when exceeding 32psi, I found this racing gasket online: http://www.scegaskets.com/ICS-Titan-...98873-1-2.html

Has anybody tried those before? It looks like a good substitute for or-ringing!

Hmm, how? I'm running .4 Tomi gasket & L19s too, but pressure still leaked at around 32psi, so I definitely need o-ringing, I just found about SCE gaskets & I wonder if they substitute regular o-ringing without the need for receiver grooving?

Are your head and block surfaces perfectly flat?
what torque did you do the L19 studs to?

Both are perfectly flat, as for the studs..as I recall is was 40 newtons +90 +90degrees.. does that sound right?

Ive read about plenty of guys on here who dont have O-Rings and are running well into the 40+psi range with no leak issues. Very odd.

My main question is still about the SCE gaskets, they seem to have embedded o-rings, are they a good substitute for traditional o-ringing? Do they still require receiver grooving? It would be great if I could have o-rings benefit without having to groove either the head or block!

A good substitute is having a block and head finish that is smooth as glass.

seems like a warped head. 32 psi is not an insane amount of boost. I always go 30 ft lb cycle, 60 ft lb cycle and finally 75 ft lb cycle on my head studs.

H11/L19 head studs should be torqued to 100ft/lbs.
