E85+Stock Turbo OR Pump Gas+FP Green?

Hey guys. I am trying to decide between getting bigger injectors and fuel pump and going e85 on my stock 8 turbo, or just upgrading to the FP Green and running it on pump gas. For those who have upgrade to the green was it worth it? I realize i can make more power with the larger turbo, just looking for some opinions. Thanks in advance!

If it's an either/or question, then there is no doubt you should do the E85 first. In fact, I bet if you do E85 stock turbo you won't find much need upgrading the turbo for a while.

stock turbo can do 400whp on a mustang dyno on E85
FP green you'd be lucky to see 340-350 on a mustang dyno

It's an easy choice in my book. stock frame turbos on pump are nothing but disappointment in my book and if you have E85 locally really there should not even be a question in your mind.

I had e in my previous car and I loved it, it just burned sooooo quick. That's the only thing I hate about it

I have an hta green. I was on e85, didnt have all the fuel to support it properly, nor did I want to shell the cash out to get the proper fuel setup for e85. Im on stock block, so I know the limits. E85 on an hta green is just gonna let you play with fire. If your that kinda guy, go for it. Im not reay to buy another shortblock just yet, so I am going back to pump. Tom from tcompusa is tuning it for me. Should see 450whp on pump with fic1250s and a single 255.

Other than that, if your on stock turbo, def gonna have to go with e85 to make some fun power.

the nice thing about the green is that u can hit the same power u are gng to make with e85 on stock turbo, but if u want anymore power later on u can just run e85 on the green and make close tp 500 with ur suporting mods

Exactly! If I want some more power later on, I can upgrade my fuel setup finally and run e85 for some more hp.

Thanks for the input guys! I think for now i am going to go with injectors and a new fuel pump to run e85, then later on i might go green.

Just be sure you get big enough injectors and enough pump to support what you may do down the road. I would suggest FIC 1450's and just do the double pumper now so you know for sure you will have plenty of fuel later. Just my .02

Cost is a major factor here too as injectors and a fuel pump will run him around $500 compared to a green that is $2,000 alone plus is going to need injectors and a fuel pump anyways. I made 427awhp on my stock IX turbo on e85 and I easily beat green cars on pump. You don't need a double pumper for it either up to a certain point and if you want to keep your stock block from going I doubt you will reach the limits of a single walbro.

The best bang for your buck will be to go with the fuel pump and injectors for E85 on the stock turbo. If you think you still might want to go with the Green at some point just make sure you get injectors big enough to support the Green the first time around. A good tuner should be able dial in the injectors on the stock turbo regardless of the size.

I vote stock IX Turbo on E. I've lit up a couple green powered evos on pump. Completely different story if they were running E though.

See sig for old numbers on a stock engine/Turbo/cam/E-85 powered IX.

I wouldn't upgrade to a regular green from a 9, only an HTA.

e85+stock turbo=mad fun.

Stock Turbo and E85 is win for sure. My car on 32psi is making awesome power. I am not staring to consider pulling the block and doing a build before I window it.

I would recommend you go with the FP Anti Surge Cover, it just makes the 9 turbo sound so freeking cool. It is only 200 bucks, but worth every penny.
