I agree. I think its when it normally seems to happen its 6,000+rpm, the driver cant hear it, the car "misses" or does something funny but they keep driving on it, BAMMM.

Aaron was this an E-85 or meth tuned car ? What power level was he at? Looks like
a lucky catch.
I always wondered if my occasional morning misfire at cold start up was an indicator that I
did not heed before my block windowed. BTW mine cut loose just mildly motoring from a parking
garage......2 to 3 K rpm max.

An old DSM buddy of mine bent a 2g dsm 7 bolt rod while sitting on his studder box. No anti-lag or excessive time. The motor started hesitating, missing, etc. Upon conducting a compression test, once cylinder was low vs others. When the motor was dissasembled, he found that the rod had bent.

92 octane, HTA green, 370whp as I recall. I can look it up monday when I get back to the shop. Not a crazy setup nor tune though.

Im on 92 oct, green HTA, i think it ended up around 390 at 31 psi and we detuned to 370 ish for daily driving at 27 psi. No meth or e85 yet. Glad I finally get to see this, crazy though. I did feel a couple misfiring, not driving right before I sat the car and did a compression test. Glad I didnt run the car any further before calling and finally getting everything built up. Was that the only rod Aaron? Everything else looked fine?

Also the evo sputtered after 4500RPM for a day or two before I stopped using the evo and sat it.

DANG... Keenan was very lucky the rod didn't decide to take a vacation elsewhere. I'm sure he is glad he decided to build the motor when he did.

This is not typical. I wouldnt let it stop you from buying a turbo. There is another cause here other than power or torque.

6000 + rpm under boost misses or random miss while idling or while driving?...
