Garrett V-Band Twinscroll Housings at SEMA

I'd like to see Garrett do a T3 flanged twin scroll Ni Resist housing with integral wastegating something like their Evo 10 GT30 bolt on turbine housing has .
I think you could vent internally enough exhaust to run a GTX3067/71 and maybe 76R turbos - particularly if the ARs are right . The Evo 10 ones are available from memory in 0.73 and 0.94 AR ratios .
The latest goss I hear is that the GT35 single scroll housing is just about ready to market and the TS T3 flanged and V band flanged ones are still in testing .
Just on the modest GTX compressor wheels note that Garrett have the GTX3067R available and its the only GTX compressor AFAIK that has 10 blades instead of 11 .
Gut feeling is that the 67X 10 blade wheel falls a bit short of what a GT30 turbine can drive and I'd like to see something just a smidge larger ie 68 or 69mm 10 blade GTX compressor on the crossover/entry level GT30 turbocharger .
I think there will be lots of cases where the GTX3071R will be a little too much compressor and turbine lag whilst the GTX3067R fall a tad short compressor capacity wise . Maybe they are waiting for the twin scroll turbine housings to help pull the bottom end up on the GTX3071Rs but it isn't going to do zip if you don't want to run external gate/s .

In regards to the 68-69mm GTX compressor, I am sure I have seen someone measure the exducer extremities of the GTX2867R compressor at around 69mm which wouldn't be surprising as the GTX3076R is more like a 77 etc. No idea why they are deviating from their old naming, maybe they don't want to sound like they are trying as hard as they are... Or there is some rule regarding the measurements which isn't obvious.

Looks like it's the same divided T3 housings with just a V-band inlet. Might still be made of a better material then the standard T3 diesel housings that were cracking though. Just wish they had offered larger A/R housings and made them thin wall stainless. We don't care about no stinking wheel burst containment!

The housings are a completely new design with new volute shapes. Material is ni-resist. The flow areas correspond more closely to the T4 flanged Garrett housings, so you need to compare the A/R of these housings with A/R for T4 flanged GT30-35 housings, not the T3. So these new housing do flow more than the old ones.

Glad to hear. I had assumed incorrectly as I'm use to seeing ATP do that. I forgot I was talking Garrett here.
Is there going to be flow charts made available with these new housings to compare to the standard GT housings?

the volute design on the 3d printed model looks, well.. absolutely perfect from the outside. We agree that garrett and tial should have similar quality do we not? The tial v-band hotsides are very good imho.
