well, it's really up to how the op wants to approach this. a diy'er can easily come up with a piece that will cost less than even half of what companies are charging. for something as simple as a sd intake, i'd rather come up with a solution myself since there are no fancy flanges or anything that need to be fab'd up, like the factory recirc tube.

my diy 4" intake cost me:
coupler - $25
pipe - $20
k&n filter - $30
total: $75

Well it did come off my talon hahaha so yeah. Other then that why pay a bazilion dollars on something you can make yourself for fairly cheap and it does the same thing as what you buy.

Sorry for not supporting jmfab and your vendors by suggesting he saves some money on something so simple as an intake. I think I got about $60 into my intake. Seems to work, just like any other intake.

I will agree, Binky's looks good. Whats that cost from English racing?
Don't quote me....but 105 with filter comes to mind...though that seems expensive. But like I said don't quote me on that.

I bought a 4" intake pipe from vibrant for 25$ had to trim it a bit but it works great. Oh and of course it has a nice silicon coupler with a t-clamp

I will say that, thats not too terribly high. I see the big k&n filter too, so thats not too bad.

I already have the couplers and the filter, just need the pipe. I was looking for one that just fits and puts the filter in the stock location. I have an intake that's just one 45 but it hits the lower rad. hose. As stated I don't have a weldor and would rather just make one if I know it aol fit 100% but the cost of a lot of ss.4" 45 degree pipes and welding it is close to $100 or a little less right there, and plus the time is a factor to me.

There's no way I would want to go lower in size than the intake of the turbo (3.25") if I'm going through the trouble of making one. Buy once buy it right. I might have to hit up ER
