I'm know spool up time will be improved, but I really interested to see how your torque holds out towards 8k...

BTW, I'm very interested to see that you're using a V88. I don't know if I've seen anyone run a Vi-Pec system on these cars...

This was with stock cams and a Magnus v5. Difference between pulls is the Magnus v5 and a few more psi of boost. FP Red peaking at 42.

The magnus v5 helps a TON. that with the S3's... I think my top end is going to rob compared to a 2.3L setup. look at the airflow requirements at each RPM... it should shift my entire powerband a few hundred to the right... meaning I'll make less peak torque, but I'll be able to make more power longer.

the ViPec that Eric is using is the same as my Link G4 Xtreme.
Made by the same company, but with different firmware/software.
The UI is still very similar though.

The hardware may be similar, but the Vipec software and customer service from owner Ray Hall is a nightmare. After a number of evasive responses regarding hard wiring questions, I sold a brand new Vipec V88 specifically because I did not get the answers I needed and was unwilling to spend the rest of my life trying to work with their customer service. So I sold the Vipec V88 and bought a Motec M800, which has excellent customer support from people who are interested in making their product work the best for your application.

I'm simply too poor to own a MoteC.

and believe it or not, the Link G4 in some areas does more than the MoteC.
Yeah i've heard that Ray Hall is hard to get answers out of.
Link here in NZ are awesome, i can call up a talk to the lead developers on problems etc.

Yep, buying them new is not an option I found one at a very reasonable price and made the switch.

haha in that case. You'll have LIMITED MoteC support if you call MoteC direct. That is the purpose of their dealer networks. You may have support through the dealer who the person you bought it from, bought it from... but I'd be surprised if MoteC USA wanted to support your box for free.

That's not been my experience at all. They support owners of all used ECUs, so long as they were USA Motec in the first place.

I can tell you first hand that even if you were right and I got no support from Motec, it would still be better than the run around I got from Ray Hall, owner of Vipec, even with a brand new Vipec V88 box from a Vipec authorized dealer and legit serial number.
