Question evo 9 turbo 0n evo 7

hey guys how you doing. i recently got a evo 7 ralliart spec. i have been told that an evo 9 turbo on a evo 7 will make a big difference in power. i currently have a hks full exhaust wallbro 255L fuel pump and a hks evc boost controller the cars been remapped using ECUTEK from the uk. is this true and if it is does the evo 9 turbo fit straight on?

the 9 turbo has the same response but better top end...after tuned you will see that the 9 turbo makes about 30hp more than 7s or 8s

If you are searching for 50-75 WHP on turbo alone...then the switch from the 7 to the 9 turbo is not even going to get you close. You might see 10-15 after a tuneup if you do that switch.

Your best bet is to try one of the newer generation stock appearing replacement turbo upgrades now out on the market. You should research this topic though. There is plenty of info on here. The biggest power adders are the Forced Performance Black turbo and the MAP EF4. There is the soon to be real eased BBK-C as well. Then there is a whole menagerie of other choices, such as: The FP Red, FP HTA Green, HKS 7640R, BBK-Full, and BBK-B, MAP EF3, and etc.

There is no need to go to a turbo kit though as you can get the power that you seek from a bolton turbo upgrade.

Our EF2 turbocharger (with supporting mods of course) would be a great way to add +50whp without sacrificing much in the way of spool

Chris Casey^^ I often wondered how the us spec turbos hold up to the ALS in the EDM/ JDM markets. Seeing as the turbine wheel and shaft are a dif. material that takes increased temps and is lighter for better spool. I often thought that might have contributed to some of the failures on some of FP and I think a few BBKs overseas.

$1639.99 plus $149 for the install kit you will need to fit it to your car An air intake, fuel injectors and an intercooler should be about all you would need on top of current modifications.

All of the turbochargers from these areas feature a different material in the turbine wheel? I was aware of a few anamolies but I had not heard that every turbo in those markets differed.
