The Red is good for 650 on a dynojet no problem and still have great bottom end.

With a goal for 450WHP - 475WHP you could go for an FP WHITE on E85 and make that. I don't know why you're even considering a Black. Mr. Curt Brown, above, is not lying either. The RED will make well over 600WHP and run 9's.

Again, you just want 450WHP so White or Green is all you will ever need.

This is true if E85 is his fuel. If it's not, that kind of power will never happen on pump gas.

FWIW, on 93 OCT I made 466 WHP (mustang dyno) (around 520whp+ on a dynojet) on a DBB FP Black @ 34 PSI, tapering to 29 PSI by redline. I also have a fully built long block, with GSC S3's.

My take: dynojet #'s

Green, 500ish 93, close to 600 E85
Red, 550 94, 650 E85
Black, 600 pump, 700+ E85

All on a properly built car with conservitive tuning. FWIW on the BB Green I only took 1-2 degrees timing out and am running the same boost and the car is within 20-30 hp of E85.

I know right? Try riding in something with a 42R or a standard 42 and then we can talk lag...but boy the top end makes you all but forget about the lag...I have a 2.3 with the red and it is FAR from laggy lol.

I had the most fun worth my red the black was nothing but a big disappointment you don't gain that much power over all and you lose that snappy feeling when you step on the gas red FTW

I had the black on my car for a bit and it really made me miss the low end torque. Once you put a black on, forget about the low end- unless you have a stroker or something. I put the stock one back on (a fully built motor lol) and it is so much fun. If it were me and I was going to buy another turbo on my 2.0, I would get a green and the biggest I would get is a red.

I will say the top end power of a black is down right nasty!!! It's all in how you want to drive your car and where you want your power.

I'm with u on this to Jeff the black is great and all but to me the red was much more enjoyable around town made plenty of power ...if your max power goals are 450-475 I would do the green and call it a day

With that much displacement and those cams, you will have ZERO problems making your upper goal of 475WHP with a Green.

You won't even need 30 PSI out of the Green to make your power goal. Please don't take the advice of people trying to get you to buy an 800WHP turbo for your 475WHP goal. It will be hugely laggy compared to a Green which can accomplish everything you want and kick your *** with torque instantly when you hit the throttle.
