No waveform on MIVEC CAS, throwing P0365

I've assembled a new motor and head fresh from Buschur.

Car runs and drives fine, but throws Intake Cam Sensor code P0365.

We hooked up an oscilloscope and get no square waveform. Replaced the sensor and still have the same problem. Even tried two new sensors just to be sure.

Input voltage from the ECU is 12v and 4.9v.

Trigger is bolted in securely and in the correct orientation (it only goes one way).

If I remove the CAS and pass some metal by it with the scope hooked up, I see a waveform, so the sensor and wiring all seem good. I even removed the trigger and put it on a cordless drill so I could spin it next to the CAS externally and I did get a waveform...

If I probe the exhaust CAS, I do get a waveform, so the scope is working correctly.

The problem is, as soon as I install everything, I get no waveform. I imagine something about how the CAS sits inside the housing and/or how much gap there is between the trigger and the CAS is preventing the CAS from picking up the blades of the trigger.

Anyone ever have this problem? I'm stumped... I might have to start replacing the trigger or the housing at this point unless anyone has some ideas.

Thanks to Greg at GSC... this guy is amazing. He pointed out that we could be using the wrong sensor.

Turns out we replaced a broken intake CAS with an exhaust CAS (they look and fit the same, but the intake one is a different part number)

This is most likely the cause. Ordered up the proper sensor from a local dealer.

Someone who actually uses an oscilloscope, awesome!

Interested to see if that fixes it.

This did indeed fix the problem. Note to all the MIVEC guys, make sure you use the right sensor on the right cam!

If the MIVEC target values are higher than the gear can reach it will throw 0011. It has a 1 second delay between reaching target and throwing a code. Clogged screen in the feed solenoid. Some of them just do it though for no apparent reason. Turn the check for it off if it still works right. Are you logging MIVEC?

Well I have the solenoid out and cleaned along with the passages, solenoid works fine when testing, Ive done everything that is recommend to do to fix except install new wire harness which I have a new one. Tried having it tuned and couldnt do much bc of the MIVEC gear being advanced. But the weird thing is that the code will go on and off randomly. Thats why I dont know what to do with its. But Ill be running a new setup this summer with the new wiring harness and AEM EMS Series 2, so I hope that will take care of everything ones all is done.
