Lightbulb New Megan 02 housing

I have a full exhaust with no cat on my evo 9. I want to put on my new 02 housing but I understand it needs a tune to make power. If I install the 02 housing and run it hard at all, will it lean out? I don't want to damage the engine but am getting mixed info. Some people say its bad others say it won't hurt it.

If you need to put it on and drive to get it tuned...then do it and just stay off of boost. I wouldn't drive around for hundred of miles like this but you are fine to just drive it to get tuned.

Yes. From the factory, they run very rich.

Thanks everybody for your input. After being a Subi owner for 5 years and knowing how easy to blow your engine with small mods I dont wanna chance it without asking first on my Evo 9. I plan to swap it the night before I get it tuned. I'm just anxious

Mods that are ready to go in / installed:

Kelford 272 cams, beehive springs and ret
Downpipe and AMS turn down pipe - installed
AEM cold air intake - installed
upper IC pipe - installed
Megan 02 housing
Grimmspeed 3 port
255 Walbro FP
Cat Delete
1000cc injectors

Its all ready but needs a tune date set at Yimi tuning in L.A.
