At what point does the stock FPR become insufficient?

What if one doesn't want a 255 due to the noise? Is a 301 or the Aeromotive on stock wires a suitable alternative? Don't mind paying more for a quieter pump.

icrnk i take it you don't have an evo then? because you shouldn't be able to hear a walbro 255 at idle in a evo. your profile says mirage so im gonna assume its a mirage.

if your goal doesn't require more then a dw301 then go for it.. id take the DW over the aeromotive any day of the week if i had to choose between the two.

Have an evo ix, just never updated the profile. I'm on stock pump but will probably need to change after next round of mods. I'll be on 93 and stock cams and probably will go for fic 1100 or 900.

Have ported exhaust/intake mani, O2, hot side. Turbo back. May add ported tb.

The thing about these sorts of threads is that when I learn new stuff, I makes me happy but at the same time I am forced to sell parts that I see are no longer needed or necessary. It looks like I might have purchased an AFPR prematurely not to mention the DW301 fuel pump that are both sitting in my garage. Dang.

Exactly. I love when real world results are posted from these guys (especially English and Spec Ops), rather than the million opinions on the board that don't really mean much.

So..., is the Walbro 400lph capable to flow enough to make +600whp on the stock pressure regulator, stock lines, and without a re-wire kit?

my 400 flowed less than 255 until i rewired, guess it drew too many amps.
