I like the quartermaster twin 8 leg I'm currently using. Got it for a killer price too.

Exedy triple all day. The driveability of it can't be matched. It can hold just as much power/torque as any other clutch out there. I went from stock clutch, to exedy twin, to exedy triple and the triple drove just like the stock clutch did (it actually drove better than the twin). My wife also drove my car for a couple days on the triple and even she said it almost felt the same as the stock clutch. Buschurs on the exedy triple (not sure if its the push or pull version), and he said he likes his. You know his car makes an @ss load of torque with with the 2.3rpm and hta86.

Is this the same clutch that has a 10k mile life span on it?

No, its been redesigned. Actually every part but the HRB is new from discs to cover, floater plates and 8 support legs versus 6 in the older version.

I spoke with I believe John at qm sales today and he told me 10-20k is what they are expecting for this clutch mainly depending on someone's driving habits. I am contemplating what clutch to get right now also.

I would stay with carbonetic triple. It didnt slip because it was cold. My twin will hold over 500tq dead cold. Likely could be rebuilt for way less than 1600. went clutch plates wear the pressure plate looses torque holding capacity. that is most likely the reason it slipped. it should well over 750tq cold. warming up these clutches is not a good idea. too easy to over heat steel mid plates. once that happens the carbon wears very quickly.

94 I've priced out both locally and some vendors on here and the best I could come up with was a bux under 1600. PM me if you have a better source.

Exedy triple will be the most drivable of the bunch. It wont shift as good as the QM twin, the ATS I havent tested in a triple but I wasnt impressed with the twin.

I'm happy that aligns with my current train of thought and understanding. Well said A-money.
