Kelford 272 vs GSC S2 vs stock cams on evo VIII turbo

Guys

Have anyone compared GSC S2 vs Stock Cams using EVO VIII Turbo 10.5 Hotside

also Kelford 272 vs Stock Cams using EVO VIII turbo 10.5 Hotside

Power gain to low/mid/high RPMs, and etc .

Will be great if you have a dyno sheet

Thanks

want my honest opinion? they are both almost identical as far as performance goes.. the only difference is the gsc s2 are way cheaper to buy.. that said.. i like gsc.. they know how to keep their prices competitive and still deliver a solid part.

The GSC S2 will spool slightly better with just about the same peak power - get the GSC cams. Cheaper, too. All WIN, IMO.

I just installed a set of Kelford 272s in my Evo 8 on a stock turbo. They drastically improved mid-range and top-end. I picked up almost 1000rpms MORE of peak HP, that holds till 7000rpm. Very nice powerband.

FWIW I also just installed a set of Kelford 272s in leui of a set of HKS 264s.. .. The mid range and top end power is very apparent over the HKS 264s..I did have to adjust the idle rpms a bit to get things to line back up in the maps.. but it was very subtle..

I have no Dyno slip as all of my work is preparation for the new turbo i'm tossing on this week or next week.. just doing all of the little things first..

Either are great cams for a stock turbo setup. Kelfords might be a better choice if you don't plan on upgrading the turbo ever as they will run fine on stock valvesprings. That being said if I had a choice I'd do springs and S2's hands down--they are badass

Hi Guys, I´m installing GSC S2´s in my Evo V RS, should have some results by the end of next week. My stock cam´s are IN 260 EX 256 duration and IN 10.0 EX 9.5 lift.

I´ll be realy happy if I get results between 10 - 13 % increase in power as I´ve read in other threads when going from stock cams to GSC S2´s. My Evo V turbo has the Evo VIII 10.5 hotside so they are basically the same now.

Currently in VD I get between 370 -380 whp and 355 - 364 wtq, have also run an 11.73 in the 1/4 mile with my setup and the mods in my sig, what do you guys think I could get out of the S2´s? I´m also installing kiggly beehive springs with titanium retainers.

Cheers,

Ricardo

Here's the link for the Cam Tests that AMS did. Good Info if your still choosing.
