turbo torn

hey all, like the title says im sorta turbo torn.
no my turbo didnt tare.. i just cant figure out which turbo i should dish out my $$$ for.
im not sure if i should go with a FP Red, CBRD BBK-Full or the new
CBRD BBK-B-BB turbo. im shooting for 400whp on pump 93 and 450-500whp on E-85. with all good bolt-ons, GSC S1 cams, tuned stock ECU, stock block and all that yada yada on 93 pump gas for now and E-85 later down the road.

its is going to be a daily driven evo/weekend warrior so i need a good fast spooling turbo that can easily hold 30lbs of boost(maybe more), i want to be in the 400whp area.

so what are your opinion os which turbo would be best for the set-up that i want to go with??
im now to the evo world, so bare with me! im still learning =)
thanks alot guys!!

I was leaning towards the full for awhile, and then I found a lot of stuff on the Fp red. They both seem to be close to the same. I guess im going to have to just research a bit more. I might just go with the fp red now, seems like the fast spooling power maker that I'm lookin for lol. But i heard its hard to get a brand new FP red. Is the true?? Like turn over time is long as hell?

A full will out-spool a red every time. If you want area under the curve on a stock block 2L on 93 it would be between the HKS7460, the BBK Full or FP Green HTA/DBB. FP turbos seem to be designed with higher pressures in mind. The BBK is made for 22-29psi range on pump and is more of a road racing style response/area under the curve turbo as per Chad's comments.

CBRD should have some BB versions coming out soon so unless you get a great used deal maybe hold off to see what they are like.

any of those turbos will get you there. best bftb will be a bbk full or hta green. both are in the $1700 range. the green is good for more power. i suspect the bbk will have slightly better transient response.

Spool, I would say the Full esp in BB form.

I have a buddy with a red and he loves the power.

The only thing you have to keep in mind is if your getting a New turbo FP/BBK in Ball bearing form or a used one.

Good Luck as they are all great Turbo's. HKS,CBRD,FP,and MAP EF's
