jb 6766 vs bb 6766?

Looking to upgrade a little.. i have a hta3586 on the car now that i made close to 800hp with on e85.. the turbo had to be sent out to be rebuilt and got me thinking of going 6766.. Im not too familliar with journal bearing turbos and how they spool compare to ball bearing with all the new technoligy.. Also, im not going to be running e85 anymore.. going back to pump/c16 so im wondering how that will effect everything as well running that turbo on the street with pump.. too much lag? everybody is telling me to go with a journal bearing that the ball bearing is not worth the extra 6-700$.. just trying to get some different opinions.. thanks

ps. the car is a 2.0

Ball bearing turbo is well worth the money as it will outlast the journal bearing turbo with the boost pressure your going to be running.

Tell everybody that they've been misinformed. Journal bearings have been proven useful and more cost effective (aka cheaper), but ball bearing has a lot more benefits than spool time. A 3586 is a nice turbo, it can push you well into the 150mph range and even 160 on well prepared cars (You should know this if you bought the turbo yourself). If you are already deep 9's and really want to push the envelope, do it. But chances are you do not need a 6766, it is streetable for sure with the right parts, but I am sure there is another area of the car you can upgrade and see performance gains.

Main Points: -Have you pushed this turbo to it's limit performance wise?
-Will your current motor handle the upgrade?
-Are you going to listen to everybody?
-Are you chasing a dyno number or do you want to drag race?
-You will lose spool either way.
