CBRD Big 3" Vbanded o2-

We wanted to do something slightly different for an o2 housing- especially with the release of our new larger ball bearing stock housing turbo--

we DONT like o2 dumps- and most of them inadvertently show a power increase due to boost creep because they WG gas path from the flapper is actually blocked by the dump tubes entry...

so we decided to make a recirc'd dump tube, that is divided longer than normal, and has the WG dump tube at a more appropriate angle-

Many of the Invidia/Megan style dont keep the exhaust gases completely divided because the factory gasket has an opening.. which can also cause warping on the divider (where we've seen pinholes)

the primary tube for the turbine exit is 3" and the WG side is 2.5" with a full 3" Vband--

Here are some pics with the downpipe..

It even stands up on its own!!

More to come--

Thanks to Jmfab for making us a nice cnc'd inlet flange (albeit alot of porting we had to do) and a nice custom SS gasket to keep it fully divided.

Just keeping everyone up to speed on some things we are doing-

We will be doing some testing on the B and C platform cars---- the C on E85 on a 2.3 with this setup-

Cheers

CB

The design and length of merge require the flange to be moved further down

Sorry Chad for the dumb question, but does the fitment of your new O2 require a special DP. Or will any old aftermarket DP bolt right up to it?

Incredible looking piece!! It would be awesome if you would offer this housing with a factory-style flange as well! I think a lot more folks could run one than the V-band style.. Any chance of doing both Chad?

I think that I am kinda starting to understand how this would bolt up. So, do you sell it along with a special v-Band DP?

the goals again- were a longer division between the two... and proper WG angle leaving the flapper area- which many do not have---

it WILL only be a downpipe and O2 housing combo---

something we did for our clients that were asking for something CBRD specific- and we've always wanted to make some design changes to the current stuff out there.

Will there be two different DP's, one for each the VIII and the IX?
