Bumping this from the dead because I want a 100% stock appearing ball bearing turbo. (California citizen here)... And I think I may want to go bigger than the BBK-B.
I have confirmed with Chad the the BBK-B and the BBK-C share the same exact turbine. Despite what you may find elsewhere on the internet… This was 2 weeks ago I got from a PM.
So we are talking about a 56 pound comp wheel vs. a 61 pound comp wheel, give or take... so the BBK-C wheel flows 5 more pounds. I would guess that would be only a 200-300 RPM spool penalty??
There is only one dyno graph from what I've seen and people were discrediting it here on this forum…
And lastly how much more power would this yield (the extra 5 pounds on the comp wheel of the BBK-C over the BBK-B) on a typical full bolt on car at 22psi 91 octane? and at say 32 psi on E85? 20WHP and 50WHP???

i think chad mixes up his facts occasionally because when i was enquiring about a year ago, he said the C has bigger comp and turbine wheels than the B. i don't know which is correct, but i do know for sure that the B shares the same size turbine wheel as the Full. i know because i have seen and measured both. so if you are correct, that means the C has the same size turbine wheel as the Full. A bit hard to imagine, but then again, i was astounded at how well the B does with the Full turbine wheel.
what power level do you want? i'd say 550 whp is well within reach for a B with all the right supporting mods and e85.
