NGK BR8EIX against BPR8ES review

I have been running the copper BPR8ES's since I got my car 2 years ago and never had any issues. (Other than changing every 3-5K) I decided to take the advice of the CBRD guys and try the Iridium BR8EIX. All I can say is, DO IT!!! The car idles so much smoother and pulls harder than ever before. I know most people on here will say get copper, but after 2 years I am an Iridium advocate! lol. I have the GSC S2's and it smoothed out the rough idle dramatically. (The car also starts better in the cold now as well.) Another positive is I seem to be getting 2-3MPG more per gallon. Any questions, please ask. Have a great day guys!

FYI: I have them gapped at 0.26 with the Spoolinup COP system.

hahaha. I have changed the coppers out every 3-5K since I've had the car. The car was very good, now it's amazing!

yeah the copper thing is kind of a joke to us-

we've fixed hundreds of evo's by going to a stock heat range or one step colder IR plug---

IR Provides more spark-

and they last longer-

I've used the irridiums before and noticed absolutely no difference in the irridium plugs vs copper. Car runs no smoother, idled no better, gas millage did not increase, little magical ferries did not start hovering over my car. Nothing

In theory the Irridiums will last light years over a copper plug though.

Just my observations

Ya I prefer the bpr8eix over the non protruding electrode. Like gsrboi80 said I haven't noticed any difference in performance over ir. If it changed the way ur car idled and performed that much then there was an issue with the plugs like gap or fouled or something.

I talked to a few people who have experience with both and went the non-protruding route. Extreme PSI recommended them as well. My plugs were always gapped properly and were changed out every oil change when I was running the coppers.

U obviously forgot to sprinkle the "NGK magical ferry dust™" on them.

we use the non protruded in the race applications-

regardless- we have done quite a few evo's and have fixed issues quite a few times

to each their own.
