Replacemant knock sensor
Has anyone tried or heard anything about non-oem knock sensors? Picking one up for my 1g build and stumbled across this on rockauto:
http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=3571638
I cant justify spending and extra 40 bucks if this will perform the same.

Is the 1g being kept stock or are you going to do some upgrades (ecm link etc)
If you think about it that knock sensor stands between you and engine failure if you run into some unexpected knock.
spend the extra $40 in my opinion.

The Evo 8 ecu NEEDS the Evo 8 knock sensor to function
Well what i mean is that my Evo 3 one did not have the same calibration and was causing false knock everywhere. I am not sure if your 1G sensor is the same as my Evo 3.
I gained 30lb/ft from just switching to the Evo 8 knock sensor and another 10-15lb/ft after tuning.
I just got one from AWDMotorsports off Ebay for $80 + shipping for another conversion i am doing for a friend. Most of the vendors on here that deal with OEM stuff will have them for around $80-85.
