Boost leak results

Did my first boost leak test today and found 4 leaks, so far. My car has 81k on it, and I bought the car with 76k on it. Everything is stock.

1. One of the clamps for the UICP
(Tightened and adjusted clamp)

2. Another clamp for the UICP
(Tightened and adjusted clamp)

3. Plastic blow off valve leaking
(I plan on buying the IX BOV)

4. Around the TBody..?
Maybe you guys can help me with this one, I hear a hissing coming from around the throttle body, but sprayed my soap water and found no leaks. Would this be the throttle body shaft seals? Input on this one please.

....So today I was able to fix 2/4 leaks that I found. Gotta buy a new blow off valve and I need you guys to confirm the TBody shaft seals.

I just did some more reading.

Is it normal to be getting some air out of my plastic BOV or does that mean it's leaking?

Again, I'm hearing a loud hissing from my TBody. I read something about the IAC doing this? Also the EGR hose below the TBody? Or a hose under the intake manifold?
I sprayed the TBody down completely but cound not find a leak. I'll have to do the test again.

Your TOB is leaking, the seals are done this is common.

http://www.streettunedmotorsports.co...haft_seals.htm

If you have a '03/04 Evo, there is an 80% chance that your OEM throttle shaft seals are cracked. If you own a 05/06 Evo, those odds increase to over 90%!

May as well get a new gasket and some T-Bolt clamps. I had a HUGE leak in my TB, this saved me.

Yeah I know all about the shaft seals, I heard a huge leak coming from the TBody area, but I sprayed the whole thing down and saw nothing leaking. So I was assuming shaft seals. Where can I get the TBolt clamps? I believe I have the stock 10mm bolt ones

Would it be wise to just pick up an aftermarket throttle body? Or is the stock one just fine?

Just replace the seals and call it a day. Mine is leaking as well. I have the seals but have yet to install them. (Mil.Spec purchased from STM)

If you are stock now, an upgraded TB would be pretty low on your list of "mod priorities". Fix the leak and maybe use the money towards something else. Hit up the modding for dummies topic if you need some ideas.

Tbolt clamps can be found anywhere. For instance: http://www.extremeturbosystems.com/S...T-Bolt-Clamps/

For what size tbolts, refer to this link.

yeah man make sure you just swap the t/body seals no need for aftermarket yet. also always use all tbolts for clamps to hold the seal better.
