Looking to buy a BOV with the whistle sound, not the WOOOOSH

From what i hear HKS BOV's have the Whistle sound, and the XS and Greddy have that wooosh sound. Any other name brands that have the whistle sound that any of you know of? The wooosh sound is cool, but the whistle is just awesome. Please post your knowledge

i hear that the HKS SSQ has idle problems as well as cruise Putts. Is that true or is it caused by a bad install or cause of the MAS?

The reason why your having problems with the HKS SSQV is because it vents to the atmostphere, the only way it will work is if you buy the recirculation kit. The Greddy Type S and the Forge vent back to the intake, therefore there is no idle problems. You get problems with blow off valves that vent to the atmosphere on these cars, it's because of the MAS.

well after trying SHKS SSQ the bov sound was nice -i had rpm drop when comes to stop and shifting was ****ty too, I DID buy REC kit, installed- ok a little bit better but still some rpm drop. and it sounds like crap - i tried Forge VTA, sweet bov sound (with yellow spring) even when shifting at normal speeds you could hear, but if you want that BIRD sound - i think i would go with GREDDY TYPE "S" or XS RTFL, i had Greddy type "S" on eclipse T - the sound was nice, i cant imagine with bigger turbo never tried RTFL some people say its the loudest -

Yes the Greddy Type S recirculates, it is made to be vented back to the intake. I personally like the Greddy Type S, thats what I have on my car right now. I noticed a big difference in sound after I got Cams, well you know why, more power, and i turned up the boost.

I have seen 1 Evo with a HKS SSQV BOV, and his car seem to run fine.

Also, the Turbo XS RFL BOV doesn't have a chirp/bird sound like the Greddy Type S does. It sounds totally different. It is very loud, hence the name RFL (Really F'in Loud)

*Note*
The Turbo XS RFL BOV does not vent back to the intake.
