The manual says use LSD oil for the "transfer case" and "rear differential" and use Diamond ATF SPIII for the "active center differential"

Isn't the ACD the same as the transfer case on a Evo 8 2005?

 

No the TC and rear Diff take Diaqueen LSD Gear Oil ONLY. the ACD fluid "Diamond ATF SPIII" goes in the reservoir under the hood drivers side front of car

 

Thanks - I'm one of those newbies that always has a ? over his head in the cartoons.

I was thinking a center diff was the same as a transfer case, therefore I thought the ACD was the transfer case. Too many years working on a 1975 chevy blazer.

 

Does anyone ever change out the ACD fluid, or just transmission, diff and transfer case? And how would you change it, same way as flushing a power steering pump?
