5858 T3 SS or 5862 T4 TS

Hi guys,

i'm from italy and i have already done my presentation in the correct topic .

I have a big doubt about my nex setup.

I'm looking about t4 manifold and i don't wanna a bolton turbo cause is not flessible like a turbo kit.So don't say to me ef3 or fp red/black cause i don't like this kind of turbo

My target are 4000/5000rpm spool (better 4000rpm) and 500hp for a every day / track car! (next year maybe i built a 2.3 litres 4g63)

Will you suggest a twinscroll setup with 5862 Pte t4 cea or 5858cea T4 singlescroll?

Which will spool faster?
5858 is not avaiable in divived t4 frame?

Thanks a lot guys!

My current setup
30000miles
Evo ix stock block/cams
Walbro 255
Suction kit Hks
Trust 80mm catback
Id 1000cc
Godspeed 44mm wastegate.
DNP performance t4 twinscroll manifold,
Grimmspeed boost solenoid.

cause pte 5858 is new and precision say it can spool better than old 5857.

I will prefear 5858 t4 twinscroll but is unavaiable ??

If yes i have to replace it with a pte 5862 hoping not loose a lot of spool from 5858

I am mainly curious as to why you don't like the stock housing turbos? You say they aren't flexible... Which I suppose I get, in the case you wanted to a larger frame turbo...

But if you are stock block, 4/5k spool is going to be awfully boring for a daily and even a track car... especially on stock cams!

You will have no problem reaching your HP gains with a FP Red turbo or any of the stock frame turbos you mentioned.. they will spool faster too and be overall more fun. I know you said you did NOT want anyone mentioning this, but they are also a cheaper way to go as a big turbo kit is far more costly then a stock frame, for not even the same benefits

I will be trying out the 5862 in t4 twinscroll form in my build. It should be comparable to the gtx3576r. My only concern is that the exhaust housing options (or lack of) in t4 could limit it on certain setups but i guess i won't know until try.

The 5862 twin scroll will definitely spool faster than the single scroll 5858 and likely have better top end as well.

Go 5862 for sure.

thanks a lot guys you are very gentle ,

in italy no one is expert about precision turbo's ant t4 twinscroll setup!

I'm looking for a small A/r on t4 ts setup like 0.84.

Are you sure 5858 isn't unavaible with t4 divided frame? (treadstone on their site have possibility to choose between t4 divided and other but can be a mistake).

@JDL Auto Design what about your project? i'm pretty attracted by it when did you expect full bost in 3rd? 4000rpm? what are yours target?

Are wheels dimension comparable between gtx 3576 and 5862? which they are?

@psst next years i'm going to build my block and install gsc s2 cams! and stroke it to 2.3L so i don't wanna a stock frame turbo cause i'm looking for about 500hp . Btw thanks a lot for you opinion is very helpfull.

Thanks a lot to all evolutionm people and all answer

Don't you think that 5862 is a pointless between 5858 and 6262?

I think that would be better to go with 6262 in ts setup,

do you know when will you expect full boost with a 6262 ts on stock block and 24 psi?

Thanks a lot guys
