i got a evo 8, stock motor with a few bolt-ons and i'm looking to make a 550whp daily driver on pump. here's what done so far... Halman boost controller, ETS turbo manifold, 3.0 02 Eliminator Downpipe & Dump, 3" perrin test pipe, 3" Greedy catback, 3"fmic don't know the name and ic piping. i also have on the side exeddy twin disk, ARP head studs, BC springs&retainers, and a blue gates timing belt. i was wondering what cams & turbo to use..

You won't make that on pump no way possibly high 400's. why not go with meth injection or e85 if youre looking for big numbers?

either that or look for a bigger turbo and cams

I have to agree with this^^^ Gonna have a hard time making that power on pump. Also look into some cams GSC's maybe this will help with a black and some E85. Keep a eye on that TQ as well for your block sake.

550whp is a GT35 0.82A/R turbine housing set up
Needs cams of course and ported head.
Once you will port the head you will see that the MAF is out of scale (400+mmHg)
So you need to use race ECU and work with Temp sensor instead of MAF
That would be my suggestion
9:1 compression ratio will do the job
1000cc injectors and upgraded fuel pump is also needed

pte 6262 or hta 3586r, 1250cc injectors, should get you there.

Go with bigger injectors than 880, plus it'll leave room for e85

how big should i go? i figured that would depend on what turbo i used.. thats why i was waiting until i get my hands on one before i go crazy with injectors. i just pick up a AERO Motive stealth fuel pump

Get the biggest injectors you'll think you'll ever use to leave yourself room to grow. Even if you don't hit anywhere near the maximum injector duty cycle, it shouldn't be an issue if you get them scaled correctly.

I currently have 850s on the stock Evo 9 turbo, and I wished I gone bigger.
