please help bad idle new motor

well the car has all the bells and whistles on it aem big turbo fp5r cams e85 full blown dp the whole 9 to make big power. the car is a evo9

i got just put in a new fresh motor that a machine shop built for me from the oil pan to valve cover including the timing belt. i tried to start it up today and the the car idles very bad wont stay running at all. except one time it did stay running but missing consistantly and then would not start back up when you press the throttle down the revs kinda build slow but misses to much to rev without being very choppy. all the timing marks are dead on the cam marks for the valve cover and the one on the crank pulley on 0 tdc. it the car when running sounds like a timing issue but all marks are on i am very stumped about what is happening. it sounds like the car is running 180 degreese out of firing order is that even possible. the only thing i can think of is maybe the cam sensor wheel on the end of the exhaust cam is 180 degreese out that makes sense to me but i have never had the problem to know if the evo will even start or try to run with it out. another thing is i would pull the coil packs on 1.2.3.4 cyl and the car would stall out so i know they are getting spark. please help me i am scheduled to get tuned next thursday.

Make sure your fuel pressure regulator isn't leaking. Mine did the same thing on my fresh build. Do a boost leak test also

i did check for leaks on everything but this misfire is ridiculous i mean i really do think it is running on all 4 cyls just not when they are supposed to like out of sync. like firing when at the bottom of the stroke. the car does have a brand new exhaust cam sensor i changed it back in november the cam sensor is 1 day old lol. i did check everything for leaks all my vacuum lines are zip tied and super glued.

the fp5r cams have been on there for over a year but i have been thinking that i have might have mixed up the cps on my intake and exhaust cam what you guys think the car does try to start and stumbles when it does and dies right and missing horribly i extened my harness last year and might have forgot which one went to which i am on my way back from oc. now will try tomorrow what you guys think about that being the culprit.

Sadly, during these times it is the smaller things that we overlook. Since you have already confirmed there are no boost leaks, I would then look at your spark plugs to determine if they are fouled and need to be replaced. I would also check to see if any adjustments can be made with the throttle body screw in order to increase the idle. I would also check to see if the tune is currently too rich as that could also impact idle. And lastly, I would check the idle control valve on the throttle body. These are all things I had to troubleshoot last week as my engine was doing the same exact thing.

A little update I had to some time to diagnose the problem. I did a compression check all were fine. Then I checked for spark all were fine. Then I checked for fuel I flipped over the fuel rail and 2 injectors were bone dry I guess from sitting over the winter. I tested them with a 9v battery and the 2 that were dry did not click so I sent them to Fic they were 2150 cc injectors. So I guess that's a start. That's why the car stumbles real bad when trying to start because it is not getting any fuel on 2 cyl.
