ATTN Omni map sensor users- reminder do not use the supplied o ring
Just wanted to remind Omni Map sensor users to replace or reuse your o ring from the stock map sensor.
I have personally experienced a 100% leak ratio when installing the Omni map sensor with the supplied o-ring.
My solution to the problem- replace the supplied O ring with a 2.4 W x 11.8 I.D. O ring. It is a thicker o ring and ensures a leak free seal. Remember to use some sort of lubricant, don't just jam the sensor in dry.
I have had 2 cars come through my shop this week so far with boost leaks here.

Thank god someone else had this problem. I've gone through one that started to crack from my own mishandling (but was leaking prior to my hamfisted abuse) and the second one I got leaked as well.
I will try the o-ring you mentioned.

Yeah I came into his problem last year. I ended up going to advanced auto and purchapsing the only multi pack that they carry and supplied was an o ring that fit perfect without leaks. I don't know the size of it but hopefully that helps.

I picked up an assortment of metric o-rings. The size listed above worked the best. Napa/Harbor freight both good places for O ring kits
Enough of a leak to make a difference. Think throttle body seal leak.

i think i owe you a beer. i swapped over to the 40k mile stock o ring, and appear to have picked up at least 1 in/hg at idle. giving the trims a few more days to adjust and see where i get...but im already seeing better than i was.
