6800-7000rpm.... .63 or .82 A/R??

Hey guys
So let's say my peak HP is 68-7000rpm and my I have 2 turbos
HTA3076 and HTA3586.

What A/R you recommend for both turbos above?
I'm using it for street racing and highway pulling

Well those are two completely different turbos, but the HTA86 with .82 A/R will give you the best top end power.

Peak HP will occur at 2 different RPMs with those particular turbos.

Case in point-

2.4/3076 vs my 2.4/3586, both roughly the same peak boost, E85.

30R makes peak power at 6800
3586 makes peak power around 7800

Oh well there you go. For the RPM range you want the 3076 would be better.

But for the usage he will want the 86. A little sacrifice down low for that much more top end is the way to go.

.82 for the HTA 3076
T3 ford 5 bolts AMS 1st gen turbo kit.
Spool 50-100rpm slower than my 50trim PT with .63 hotside. Whereas the 50 trim maxed out at475 whp/450wtq the HTA pulls 548whp/450wtq at 30psi.

That really help..Appreciate it
at 6800rpm the 35 made about 100whp but the gt30 has wider power and torque range up to 5900rpm.

Couple of Q's plz
1- What was A/R on both turbos above?
2- Did u test hta3076 vs gtx3076 before?

0.82 to 0.82, Magnus to Magnus, ETS to ETS.

I have played with 2 HTA3076s, we have a DSM we have made really good power on, but no GTX30s.

.63 offers literally no benefit on a 2.0 with a 35R

the .82 housing actually makes the turbine wheel more efficient so the spool difference is zero

I run a .63 housing on an hta86. I thought at first I was gonna hate it, but I get great top end still, but spoolup is amazing on a 2.3L.

I would go with a .82 a/r on both options. I'm with Aaron get the 35R, the top end difference is huge between the two. You sacrifice a little bit down low to gain a ton up top. You will have plenty of power band and where a lot of the stock frame turbochargers fall off you will keep going.

Thanks!

Michael

I have played with a buddy of mine in his 2g gsx. He runs a 6265, with an .82 hotside. Rolling about 20mph, I instantly got the jump on him from my quicker spoolup, and he played catchup still. He is running a 2.3 as well.

If you are gonna drive mainly street, I see nothing wrong with the .63 housing. My car is just as enjoyable in town as it was with a 2.0 and hta green on it. Now I have A LOT more top end though.

Of course the .82 will have more breathing room up top, but for the street, is it REALLY necessary?

I am seeing 30psi at about 4400rpms.
