Exhaust louder after build.....help?
I'll try to make this short,
The car had bolts on's before i had the whole thing built and it sounded really good. It has a Buschur exhaust on it, and i loved the way it sounded (nice deep tone). I now get the car back and its WAY louder and has a tinny (best way i can describe it) sound.....basically it sounds like a Honda. Not sure if this is due to the tubular manifold or various other things...
Anyway, just curious if i but a Car on the car, if this will quiet it down substantially....and if so how much power (aprox) will if rob be of???

Listing exactly what you changed would probably help us to help you.

Well, without knowing what you changed it's hard to say. But in general if you removed your cat, added tubular manifold and O2 then it will be louder and resonate more. Another thing is if your engine build restored some compression you might have been missing then it will be louder too.
But as stated above, weld in a resonator to your test pipe and that will quiet things down a bunch.

same happened to me after i added a t3 manifold and 35r kit, car sounded great before then after everything was installed it was loud as **** with a raspy sound. But def. due to the tubular manifold

I agree with you, OP. A tubular exhaust manifold will give your car a raspy note, however, when in boost and you're "dumping", the extra airflow from the large frame sounds pretty epic .

Ya i was half asleep when i wrote that this morning....I'm reading it now and i'm like "wtf did i write".
Anyway the general consensus is because of the tubular manifold….I guess I’ll deal with it, or put a cat on the car.

don't put a cat on it...buschur has the muffler that bolts to the downpipe that would replace a test pipe. that should reduce the raspiness. Then you can either leave the bullet muffler out back our use their resonated "SD" rear section. plently of options to change the tone without sacrificing any flow...just don't put a cat on
