I don't want to get too excited but according to the CNC shop we will have manifolds in our hands NO later than this Friday, 4-16-04.

We have a couple of kits here sold and should be able to get them out right away.

Thanks for all the patience guys,

Hey Dave,

About the upgraded turbo, will it be like the Evo 6TME turbo or the MR turbo ? Will have a bigger opening? Ti compressor wheel? Will it share the same core as the stock turbo but have different internals?

Will it require a different downpipe? Will it spool quicker than stock or have a little lag?

Will there be a need for bigger injectors?

What is your ETA for the upgraded turbo?

Thx,

Steve

Upgraded stock turbo has a larger compressor wheel in it. Should be good for about 50 whp. Bolts directly on the car, looks completely stock. You would have to remove the turbo and take it apart to measure the wheels to figure out it isn't stock. The stock injectors should be fine, stock downpipe will absolutely work and the lag difference will be barely noticeable if noticeable at all.

****ing sweet, David.

Is the stock O2 housing going to work fine with the stocker upgrade?

Of course, the question everybody probably has: When are you going to dyno it?

I will dyno it when we finally get some units in here to test. You know, the stock 02 housing is one very nice piece. I see no reason to change the stock 02 housing. I can't see this being a restriction at anything under 500 hp.

Damn guys I am drooling, a 50whp increase would be perfect! I think on a correctly tuned car this upgrade will be a perfect match. Not to much and not to little.

This old man needs to come up with some freakin' money... soon.

Sounds like this upgrade with a stage III could make the magic 400whp on pump gas. Comments David?

Can we buy just the compressor wheel from you Dave and change out the stock one from our own turbo? Or is this too complicated?

batty: He said he's shipping kits friday.

Although, I want a bump for the Turbo options.

So, BR440, BR500, BR580? Ball Bearing Options?
Dynosheets?

I want something that can make 500+ on race gas and handle 30Psi - ie. Comparable to a GT35R.

Do you have the equipment to balance a turbo?

You cannot install the wheel in your turbo. We do not have the equipment to balance turbos.

Our Stage 4 with the upgrades stock turbo will probably make damn close to 400 whp on pump gas.

Turbo options. We just go another two new turbos in day before yesterday. Going to do more dyno work next week.

Anyone can throw a big *** turbo on the car, come up with a bunch of BS about it and sell it. I would say by this point, it is obviously not what we are trying to do. There is more to coming up with good turbo combinations than coming up with one that makes 500+ whp. That is easy. Getting a turbo to not surge, spool up well and come in a complete compact kit is tough.

We are working at getting some turbo combinations together that will offer HP increases in 50 whp steps. I have two more now. What I want to see is something in the 450 whp area, 500 whp and so on.

The newest turbos we have hear we are hoping will spool like mad. They should each reach the 450 and 500 goals.

In all the years we have been doing 4g63's we have NEVER spent this much time and money on R&D of turbo's. The money invested in this EVO project is crazy. I want the best you can buy coming from here. When this is all done I just don't see anyone wanting to buy anything else.

Track's open here and the sooner we can get this dyno testing done the sooner we can hit the track and get some real meaningful numbers.

Take care,
