I'll try to find some good logs to overlay. I had a BBK Full as well. After 4500-4800 rpm the LMP kit was ahead of the bbk. And not long after that is was north of 100hp more then the bbk

im torn between e85 and 93/meth because i heard that the price of e85 is going to be crazy so its not even worth building the fuel system to run it.
Many people won't recommend meth. It's hella unreliable.

However, most cars won't lag nearly that bad. Like I said above, a normal T3/35r setup will yield the spool of a Black.

Also, you're completely contradicting yourself by saying the bolded portion. If you want spool set up your turbo kit for that.

If you want no drivability and big pointless power numbers or a low 9 second pass go with a big hotside, large tube manifold, super aggressive cams, a huge IM, etc.

You need to set your turbo kit up to match the rest of your setup. Pick all top end or good drivability with decent top end, because you can't really have both.

Set up things to work together, don't mismatch parts, and you will yield a fast spooling setup with great top end.

If had to do it all over again I'd go t3 with a 35r or something similar.500hp easy on pump gas.Plus stock frame turbos are ridiculously priced these days.

if you want to be different, you can always go with a holset set up like the DSM guys do, im pretty sure there is one guy on here running 9's with an hx40, i believe he is in the 600 hp range also if not more. there cheap, easy to rebuild and you can get a T3 .70AR housing from BEP for cheap.

You know who you can blame for that right? I will give you a hint, the tragidy in China had a little to do with it, but I am not gonna blame that being all that can be fixed and parts can be outsourced to other companys.

I Have a ?... is this what you are making on your stock 2.0L with an EF4, "562/438tq @ 34 psi "

you wont see much quicker spool on a T4 TS than a properly designed T3-

we've been there-

we've used TS T4- and then gone to Vband T3 and only lost 350 rpm and picked up 100whp LOL!

it all depends on what you can pair up-

you will never match a stock housing on spool, but you will struggle to make the power that a T3 kit can make in the range of power you are asking for-

600whp on a Black is easy but requires 28-30psi on E85 for most combinations. I made 588 at 23psi on pump. One barely works the motor, the other is using the capabilities of the motor. That being said I have an FP Black ready to go on my car and a stock turbo on it currently. The FP3586 and 3794 are great turbos and make ridiculous power at low boost on a good setup on pumpgas.

No stock frame turbo can do that on pump. The twin to my car, JohnnyTSI's, makes 575 at 24psi on E85 but only 520s on pump at 28. I am not hating on either, I have owned basically every FP product up to the 42Rs and the new HTA variants, and can tell what each does and why one is better than the other.

Yeah I am tring to keep the motor together. I made my #s on e85, but when I did my pump gas I was in the 530s 540s. With my other setup with just the mbc the car was alot different. Now with the ebc it feels way faster and we can keep my tq down. If I were to tune the car not careing I would make way different #'s I'm sure. But with me driving this car pretty much all the time I wanted to make sure the motor stays together. And looking at the quote again yes I was referring to e85 sorry

OP, I also currently run an FP Black and am well over 600whp. The Black can do it easily as Aaron stated above, but is not as efficient on pump fuel. Is 600whp your final goal? Reason I ask is for my next build, I am probably going back to a t3 based setup. You'd be surprised how quickly you want more. A t3 based setup gives you more headroom in the long run as well.

Really... When does the power come on, these are JB turbos right, last I checked they weren't doing these in a BB variant. I am curious because I love the spool of the stock frames but I want/need to find something with some room to grow overhead wise. And I am torn between the EF4, ATP-GTX-3582R for stock frames and then the LMP35R kit for a T3 option. What is the lbs/min flow rate like on the EF4?
