making an evo 2 wheel drive really defeats the point of having one (in my opinion). So if you're planning on doing this just for a dyno why not use a virtual dyno? They're pretty good, read up on them and if youre in southern ohio i'm sure you have a plethora of straight flat roads for data logging. Either that or sell your car and get a factory 2wd.

I feel ur pain..
I can't stand when people (post ******) say stuff and don't know what they are talking about.... Evo and subby guys are the worse...
I had a 1g and used a vce with stub axles and used it on the dyno and drove it around and worked great.. Yes I broke some rear axles when driving on street but I was pushing 600 whp thru the rear so it was expected...
I am looking for the same thing man.. I live in the most southern part of Ohio and I have a buddy with a 2wd dyno that I can use alllll dayyyy long for cheap....
Given that most of you the Evo guys are prolly spoiled rich kids or rich adults that can afford to pay for someone to build their car or pay to work on it when it breaks and can afford 6 hrs on a dyno @100$ /hr or more.. I can't afford that..
My Evo is making around 7-800 hp and I would love to tune it on a dyno so I'm not driving 120 on straight stretches...
If there is a way to make my Evo fwd or rear I'm doing it.. It's not like ur putting the same force on the t case and axles as a 6500rpm 25 psi 2 step launch with slicks......
It's all gradual load..
If u find a way to make it work for cheap let me know.. I'll test it out!
To the other ******... Keep your opinions to urself... He didn't ask what you thought.. He just wants a solution

I had the read diff out of the car because I sent it TRE. Even with ACD, the car didn't move. Just spun the unloaded drive shaft. It doesn't work. You'll spend more time and money modifying this stuff than just driving to an AWD dyno and getting it tuned. And I have never seen a dyno tune that 6 hours. If it does, you should probably take the car somewhere else..

If you can't afford to spend $100 on 6hrs of dyno time then I dont think you should own an evo..... I'm with everyone else, either destroy your drivetrain for being a cheap a** or pony up the cash and use a real 4wd dyno.....
