Need advice: Tial 44mm wastegate setup with HKS EVC Boost controller

Hi,

I have been searching on the best way to set up the Tial 44mm waste gate with the HKS evc boost controller. Attached is the diagram that HKS recommends.

Here, the Out line from the stepper motor goes to the TOP of the wast gate. And the In line of the stepper motor is tee'd with the Bottom port of the waste gate and a boost source Pre-throttle body. The other port of the stepper motor just gets a Vac/boost source from post-throttle body location.

I assume all the other ports of the waste gate will be plugged in this case??

But TIAL on their website gave a diagram that says a bit otherwise? Or am I understanding a bit wrong?

Do I need to Vent any port on the waste gate?

Advice / Inputs please..

you will plug the unused ports on the wastegate (2 lower and 1 upper)

So, 1 lower port connected to the pre-throttle boost source, 1 top port connected to the EBC, and all other ports plugged? In this case the EBC will work just the opposite of how it worked with actuators, i.e. the EBC will let out more air to hold more boost.

While on the other hand, for actuators, the EBC doesn't let the air pressure reach the actuator.

Which method will be better? Can I just treat the Tial Wastegate as an Actuator, and connect the lower port only, plug the lower ports and vent the top ports? Just like an MBC?
