Thanks! Oh, that reminds me, I decided I'm not against going E85 either. I think I will tune dual maps so I can run pump or E85. All tuning will be done on an Evo 5 ECU. That's a nice curve! Does the Evo 8 block need clearancing to go 2.3 like DSM's do?

Yes it does and of course some rods require more clearancing than others. Why not an Evo 8 ECU?

Ah, I see; thanks! Glad I found that out now! It's a Mirage conversion and the Evo 5 ECU is a direct swap where the Evo 8 ECU requires the harness to be repinned.
I already have an Evo 5 ECU as well. This actually is a complete JDM setup as I bought an Evo IV half cut to source parts from. Sadly the engine was crankwalked
badly when it arrived so I bought an Evo 8 block which is far less susceptible to walking. The Evo 5 ECU has the variables for the factory SAS system and some other features
I want to keep. I think for the clutch I'll go with an Exedy Twin plate so as to keep driveline shock to a minimum. My transmission, transfer case, and Evo 8 rear diff are still factory
pieces (though I restacked the plates in the rear diff to JDM spec) so they probably won't like the extra torque I'll be making. Have to have Shep or TRE do some work on the
bits later on down the road.

Manley came in today and I torqued it down with three steps of 20ft. lbs. to 60 ft. lbs with the ARP lube. Clearance came to be about .0015in.
Ok or should I have my machine shop align bore it? I know it was on the edge before and is a lot tighter now. If it needs to be align bored
how much should they remove?

Pic of the new crank set in the block:

Well, I'm retarded. Realized I forgot to clean the plastigauge off the main bearings in the girdle before I torqued the first time. Cleaned everything really well and redid it and got my original .002in or clearance back! Just gonna run with it, it's in spec. Gonna pay off a few bills this month and I need to get some coilovers before I order my pistons though.

Are there off the shelf stroker pistons available for a 2.3 that are above 9.0:1and closer to 10.0:1 CR, or would those be custom order? WISECO HD preferably...either standard bore or 0.02 over???? Sorry for the resuscitation.
