Strange. I had the exact opposite. No crunch or grind, but had lockout issues and noises that just somehow went away as soon as I swapped out the diaqueen.

That's really odd. I would sometimes get a notchy/crunch feeling going into 2nd, but when I swapped out the fluid for the redline cocktail, my 2nd gear is buttery smooth now.

Diaqueen all around. I used royal purple in my transmission once only because it was the only transmission fluid I could find here (in hawaii) that was in stock. I had a transmission leak so i did a fluid exchange after fixing the leak. 2nd and 3rd would grind and it overall felt notchy. Switched back to diaqueen and everything went back to normal.

So, since Motul gear oils come in a 1 Litre container, then 1 Litre should be enough to do both the TC as well as the rear diff as per your advice, right? 1 liter being slightly more liquid volume than 1 quart( 1 U.S. Qt. = 1.057 Litre). Or, maybe it would be just quite not enough, depending on exactly how much "Little over.." equates to.
the car actually calls for .6qt so one liter will not be enough to fill them both.also some say the best way to fill the T-case is to pour the entire quart in,then drive it around and then drain out the extra.

fwiw,my rear diff has a sight glass in it and it actually took a little more than .6qt to get it above the fill line.maybe .65-.7qt.

that's only necessary when the TC is new and the seals are fresh. That is a lot of trouble because you have to jack the vehicle up and make sure it's level to drain properly. I would just take the extra time and let the fluid sit for a couple of minutes between "overflows" and then just to be sure let it sit for like 5-10mins. What I did was fill the TC then when I thought it was full I went to drain and pump fluid into the rear diff, then came back after that was complete and tried to put more fluid in the TC. It immediately overflowed so I knew it was perfect.

oh and to answer his question above, I would get more than just one quart. It's really not that expensive and the last thing you want to do is run out of fluid then say, "oh well it's close enough" and then you're buying a $2,500 TC when it blows...
