Car dies when I come to a stop. HTA86, built 2.0, exedy triple. E85

I am not sure what the heck is going on, but everytime I take the car out it wants to die on me when I come to a stop. I am inclined to think it a clutch problem, since it will almost always start back up after several attempts to re-start. The car is built, with a 3586, and all supporting mods. The car is on E85. I always let the car warm up before I take it for a spin...I am afraid to take the car anywhere, due to the fear of it leaving me on the side of the road. I have searched the forums, but have not found anything that could be the issue. Any Ideas?

Wants to die on you like stumbling idle and it clunks out or? If your coming to a stop with the car in neutral, the clutch should have nothing to do with it. One way to rule that out

I would suspect it may be related to your AEM EMS calibration. Visit the AEM section on this site for help.

I agree it's likely tuning issue.
Who tuned it last?

The tuner will be left unknown, however, I have added a new turbo and intercooler since the last tune...the last turbo was a FS635, which is not too far from this current turbo. I will search more in the AEM EMS section...thanks for your imput.

The other issue I have is that the car will sometimes not prime the fuel pump. Could this behavious have anything to do with the car not being tuned properly also. I need a tuner...seriously. If you are available PM me.

He has an AEM EMS people, this would rule out him using the MAF sensor, he's now on speed density. As for the issue with the fuel pump not priming, that can be controlled via the EMS, so there might be a chance that the settings have been revised.

I will be getting a tune this week, so I will post results of the problem, whether or not the re-cal fixed the issue.

Boost leak will not cause this issue on speed density.
S3's are a serious cam, they need to be tuned for.
Especially with e85

Update!!

Here is what we have found so far. I think the most glaring thing is the fact that the resistor pack in still in its factory form on the firewall. There is no resistor pack delete. My greatest fear at this point is I have already damage the ECU, but as we tune we will see.

The next issue we found was #3 injector harness was broken and lost some continuity periodically. We found this by noticing that the harness was taped up and played with it and the engine smooth right out.

The other issue we found was a clicking sound from the throttle body - once the trottle plate is beyound a certain point the clicking seem to go away. Even when the car is not turned on, meaning the key in in the ACC position or start position you will hear the clicking sound. We seem to think its the ICS, does anyone have any input?

So the next step is to buy the resistor delete pack and some harness and go from there.
