Hes referring to full boost/spool. Not starts to spool.

2.4 w/ FP HTA GT 3582R or 86 if you don't mind the lag

or

2.4 w/ BorgWarner EFR turbo.

I'm on a 2.0L which is awesome case it's in expensive, but if I did it again, there would be no question about going with a 2.4L and recovering some of your money by selling your bottom end.

Unless I miss read his post. It says won't spool till 5k rpm.

What's wrong with 22psi? I maxed out my 1000cc injectors so we had to stop there.

I bet you have a single walbro?

I lean toward higher rpm powerbands, so I'm opinionated.
But for roll racing, as youve described, I'dstay 2ltr.
The 2.4 is cheaper, but the mechanical timing isn't the same and
You should machine for oil squirters on a street car, with or sized bearings.
The 2.3 is a great setup too, especially for the street.

I will never in life build anything short of a 2.4 hta86 or 6466 combo and even though I would never turn down a dig race, I prefer to roll race on the street, less shock on the drivetrain. Most street races never max out 4th gear anyway and my stroker is set to rev to 8700 if need be.

Yup single 255 and a inline Bosch o44. I wouldn't say the injectors where maxed out but the IDC was around 90%.
I have over 6k miles of daily rape on my 2.4L with out oil squirters. No problems what so ever.

The 2.4 is the best bang for the buck for a street car IMO. It's effortless to drive the car with ac on and full car of people and full tank.

i guess you really have to spell it out for some people.obviously full spool.

maybe you can explain it to me since you are so knowledgeable?why do all the race cars still use 2.0 motors?

It's a mute point to argue anymore. I'm surprised this thread isn't closed, with talk of street racing.
From here, op, I recommend checking out the dyno results thread. Peep some power curves, and mod combos.
Also I encourage you to check out the drag racing topic. Fastest times/motor/turbo, some experiences.
There are good examples of both blocks making power and being successful. Different schools of thought, you can say.
