Tanabe Medalion Touring & Apexi WS2 Exhaust user's PLEASE Chime in!
If you have had or currently run a Tanabe Medalion Touring exhaust or an Apexi WorldSport 2 exhaust, please tell me your impressions.
Im looking to get a new exhaust for the girl & I am strongly considering 1 of those exhaust. Dan@Assaultech has screaming deals on both of these units.
I prefer a oval canister without the jdm angle.
My main goal is being quiet & Im not in a position to build my exhaust myself @ this time.
Has 1 exhaust grown loader over time?
Do you experience drone with a stroker motor?
If you had to buy a new exhaust, would you buy the unit you have again? If not, why?
Thanks, aby

I've been meaning to do a video of mine so you can have a better idea. I have to move my car at 3:45. I'll do it then and upload shortly thereafter.
I think it's pretty quiet when you're not on it and that it screams at WOT. My wife thinks that our Subaru with Vishnu Signature TBE/HFC/magnaflow muffler is quieter but I disagree, I think it's louder than the tanabe at idle and quieter at WOT. To be fair she spends more time in the Evo with me than I spend in the subaru with her. I still listen to music when cruising but that becomes pointless at more than 70% throttle at which point you cannot concentrate on music anyway. We drove the car to Nashville a few months back and it didn't wear on our nerves too much even after 10 hours, had a fun ride. I think it's gotten quieter since it's broken in, she disagrees.
All of this is so subjective, I think a video narrated so you can contrast the level of the voice with the sound of the engine will be more helpful.

I've been running the tanabe for over a year and I still love it. I've got a full exhaust with a works hfc. It's definitely not as quiet as you may think but its very tolerable. I drive my two kids around and with the Windows up I can talk to them without any issues. At wot its a beast! Drone is very minimal usually only under a load going up hills in lower gears but that is to be expected. Hope this helps.

I'm thinking about putting a dynomax 4" race bullet or two after the HFC on my exhaust. I'd really like to quiet it down more. Don't understand how anyone could think this thing is "too quiet".
