Trans and VCU TC dimensions for retrofit
Hey guys, I have a unique question for you.
I'm looking to retrofit the AWD 5 speed trans and VCU into a non-mitsubishi vehicle. I've searched for a few days, and even tried contacting someone local to me but never got any response.
What I'm looking for are some critical dimensions of the evo AWD transmission and the VCU transfer case. If I can't reasonably modify the car/subframe to get the trans/tc to fit into my car, I'd prefer to not have paid for them.
I need the VCU because I won't have the electronics necessary to run the ACD.
basically, the dimensions I'm most interested in:
-Diameter of the clutch/input shaft opening where the engine plugs in.
-Engine mating surface of the trans to the passenger most side of the trans.
-Width of the transfer case from the trans mating surface to the end of the case.
-Width of the transfer case from the trans mating surface to the center line of the rear output shaft.
like I said, I've searched quite a bit for actual DIMENSIONS. I've found some diagrams about the path of torque through the transmission, but no physical dimensions.
I'd really appreciate any help thrown my way.
Thanks.
