Billet is kinda overkill unless its going for 800+ in a mostly harsh environment (Drag or track racing), no?

It's a track car that will eventually be running 550+ whp at WOT for relatively long periods of time. I have a built head and don't feel like cracking this motor open once I'm done if I can avoid it.

Torque has as much to do with it as power...that and RPM.

Our recommened limit for the standard rod is 8k and 8500 at the track, I normally allow 500 more for the LR2.4 and have personally spun my LR2.4 to 9100 when I had the 3794 on it. I dont recommend making that a habit unless you are willing to pay the piper.

Is that your recommended billet option for 2.3L and 2.4L motors then? I've heard pretty positive things about the K1 cranks, and my motor builder suggested it for my 2.3L.

I have used Eagle in the past and there were things I wasnt stoked about with the machining. We have looked at the Manley stuff in more detail and the K1 most recently. It is not an inexpensive piece but it has Kiggly's seal of approval so there was a reason we went with it
