hydraulic tob info needed! quick!!

hey guys question. i bought a quartermaster twin disc w/ hydraulic tob from another member on here. my question is first he said the tob was for a 6 spd. i have a 5 spd but doesnt the 6 just have an adapter?? thats the only difference?? also when i look at the tob new it shows all these gold rings that come with them, are they shims?. i didnt receive any of these and wondering what there for and if needed thanks. im putting this in tonight and need info fast thanks

The shims are very rarely needed. I am not sure on the 6 speed vs 5 speed

the 5-speed qm htob is different than the 6-speed one. here is the best deal i've seen on the 5-speed htob:

Is the htob different between 6 and 8 leg QM's?

No but what confused me was the tob i got was for a 6 speed and it only has 3 holes. So didnt make sense since my 5 spd tranny has the 4 bolts holding on the sleeve on the input shaft. The 6spd tob i have came with a silver adapter for the tob and i guess the 6 spd dont bolt in. Its wild. Its FS btw if anyone wants it. I ordered a new 5 spd one
