If it's been raining out, is very damp or humid, or is just very cold out you will see lots of white steamy exhaust from the condensation. If it's a dry day, temp in the 60's or higher you shouldn't see any exhaust, if you do it's something else.

This is what came to my mind when I read through this thread. Everyone here was quick to jump in and say that it is burning coolant from a potential headgasket leak.

While it may indeed be a leaking headgasket, before you go pulling the head, I would insure that its not just the cold weather causing the white exhaust.

He is saying at WOT though. Normally if it's condensation you will only see it for the first 5 mins after startup.

The real question should be why the hell is he driving a cammed car with no tune?

I believe he asked at both idle and WOT. You are right, the car should definitely be dialed in by a competent tuner. Nonetheless im not so sure that is is indeed burning coolant and think it could be something as silly as typical white smoke during the cold.

In another thread the OP says he has a muffler but no cat then changes his mind and says he has a cat but no muffler. Also, he states there's a code for running too rich. So, anyway, I think he is new to the car (and car mechanics).

I've seen cars that were very very rich and they had white smoke out of the exhaust. The white smoke was just unburnt fuel. There was also a strong odor of gasoline.

Check and clean out your PCV also. My car was smoking white when I had a fowled up PCV.

What injectors? System rich sounds like your fuel trims are maxed out and throwing P0172 code.

If stock injectors, perform a boost leak test and clean your MAF.

Another check to tell if it's burning coolant/got a bad head gasket is to pull the plugs

IF they look brand spankin new they've been steam cleaned from the coolant vaporizing (unless they are indeed brand spankin new). This is most valid if you have old plugs, and one shows up really clean and the others are old looking.

Other people have mentioned it above, but check the coolant and oil for contamination/bubbles.

Also, how old/watered down is the gas in the car, or is it fresh?
