Which $6,600 build to go with

Ok I'm torn between two different setups. 6600 is about my budget at the moment. Current mod list...

Current power mods

3" turbo back w/tp
Hallman mbc
Grimmspeed 3 port
Omni 4 bar
Wally 255
FIC 1100 high Z's
AMS fuel rail w/-6 AN's
fuel press regulator
AMS intercooler and lower pipe
GReddy/Trust upper pipe
L19 headstuds
9 turbo/motor stock
Trunk mounted battery

Current suspension setup
Bilstein HD's
Spec-R springs
Whiteline front swaybar

Option one...
STM forward facing hot parts kit
PTE 6262
Tial Q vta
S3 Mivec cams
Kiggly springs
1/2 Koyo rad
fal slim fan
Samco hoses
Competition stage 3 clutch
Buschur double pumper
1 more walbro 255
STM deluxe catch can
Spoolin' up cop

Option two
S2 Mivec cams
GSC springs/retainer kit
GSC 0 tick lifters
FP HTA Green
Full Race exhaust manifold
Muse 02 dump
Spoolin' up cop
Tial Q
Koyo 1/2 rad
Samco hoses
Comp stage 2 HD (Lucas choice)
Perrin rear swaybar w/links
TScomp 4" speed density intake
Autopower race roll bar
Evo 9 jdm tails
STM standard catch can with valve cover fittings

Either build will be tuned by Tom at TScomptuned and will be on speed density and E85.

I went to STM yesterday and had a chat with Cory, I really really like the bling factor of the forward facing setup and insane power output of option one and I do drag race but at the same time I want to be able to autox and won't have the cash for a short block until next season. Give your opinion.

Pump E85, might have Tom do a 93 tune too but not sure yet, definitely ethanol ftw. Ideally I'd go with a 5858 and order an MAP 2.3L stage 2 short block and I'd be set but like I said the block has to wait a year.

id go option one but thats just me. but at the same time option 2 is better for the autox. i guess it really depends on you and what you want more. There both completely different builds and its going to come down to what you want not someone elses opinion.

What is the car going to be used for? I would personally go with option 2 just because of the practicality and fun factor of it.

Some street use and if I go option one, I'll drag it for the season with little street use and next year go with a stroker short block and intake mani/tb and maybe switch to a 5858 then I'd have the best of both worlds

I wasn't planning on going this far right NOW, I've been buying parts from Tom, and talking but I have a serious itch for power so I'm refinancing it a bit to satisfy my addiction

Option 3
Shave weight by removing everything you don't need and invest in weight reduction parts from buschur, stm, awd, etc...

You'd be surprised how much you'll enjoy the car...

Already done and what's not will be. Trust me I'm on that the car is totally apart right now and everything not needed is out. This is a power thread before my season tune, I'll be putting money into it throughout the summer

I would go with Option 2, but instead of the Spoolin Up COP I would get a SparkTech COP. This is my personal opinion based on seeing the 2 products in person.

None of the above, option 3...
Option three
Rods and pistons (Manley TT/Wiseco)
S2 Mivec cams
Port & Polished head
GSC springs/retainer kit
Ported IM & TB
FP HTA DBB Red
Full Race exhaust manifold
MAP 02 dump
Spoolin' up cop
QM 8-leg twin
Perrin rear swaybar w/links
TScomp 4" speed density intake
TRE 12plate Rear Diff Re-arrange
400lph e85 Walboro

1/2 radiators are worthless unless you have a ff setup, and even then they have a tendancy to overheat at times. The stock radiator is just as good or better at cooling than most units on the market. The TRE rear end is one of the best mods you will ever do to your car, completely changes the handling ability. The autopower cage bolt-ins are more show than function IMO, get a good custom made cage for your car that will actually qualify for the class of racing you plan on doing. There is a huge difference between a green and 6262, but the red is the perfect 2.0l turbo in my mind... Awesome response with good power capability. That is a 500whp+ reliable responsive track beast right there.

The head will be ported and polished by an old school guy from my work, that's all he's been doing since the early 80's and the Autopower would have proper plates welded to the floor for support. My transmission is being rebuilt so the transfer case will be next, then the 12 plate rear diff, at the end of last season I started hearing the tcase wine only at 50 and you could hardly hear it but it's there and will need to be done first. Also for option 2 the HTA green will be better.

The idea is to have awesome power AND not pop the block. I might end up throwing H beams and pistons/bearings in it mid summer it depends. I really want low rpm tq so a stroker is definitely a must in the near future.
