is SS clutch lines necessary????

Hello EvoM

I am about to replace my clutches since my ACT went bad
What are advantages of having SS clutch lines over stock ones?
Do I need both "master cylinder to slave clutch line" and "lower cluch line" if I decide to change them??

Thanks!!!

You can purchase one complete line from clutch master cylinder to clutch slave cylinder. STM and Buschur sell them.

I have a complete one-piece line. Swapping the line and removing the restricter pill makes the pedal travel more decisive and crisp. Its not the night-and-day difference you'd see from adding a different clutch; but it does help. Plus for $50-60 or whatever it was they cost its worth it.

No they are not necessary, if the OEM lines look worn then I would replace them though.

You don't need one like you'd need headstuds but it does make clutch engagement more linear and predictable, and takes a good % of the pedal effort away. I really like mine.

I have a brand-new STM CT9A full clutch line still in the bag if you/anyone is interested.

My OEM line split so I just took the line off and had a local shop make a SS line for 20$. Not nescesaary but easy, cheap and gives the pedal a better feel.

Not necessary until your OEM one is trashed.

I replaced mine last time I did the clutch, it made for a noticeable difference, but not something that is required to do.

The Evo OEM parts continue to surprise me in their durability and performance capabilities.
