Twin plate clutch whining noise

Does anyone else with a Cusco (or even an Exedy/HKS) twin plate clutch experience any kind of whine while the clutch is engaging?

It happens only when I'm letting the pedal out relatively slowly and I can prevent it if I rev a little higher before letting the pedal out and/or letting the pedal out more quickly.

There's no judder or anything during the whine, it sounds like some kind of resonance - sorta like the brake pad squeal you get with aftermarket pads when you don't shim them.

(I have posted about this in a few other clutch threads but it was kinda off-topic so I'm reposting)

Thanks for any ideas.

I've got it too, happens when I down shift 4-3 and 3-2. When I rev match it doesn't do it. Although it did stop for a while, heated the clutch up some during a snow storm , it didn't make the noise for like a month, it just recently started doing it again. I've also posted this a while back. EVO is stock.

Same with mine, does not happen when I rev match, and I can get it to happen every time by not rev matching on a shift.

Well, i have the Cusco as well and it is normal. It is just the 2 plates slipping trying to grab. After it heats up it goes away, spirited driving, etc.
