Evo8 T51 RSPL update

Hi guys,

we have been very busy working on our EVo8 with that BIG HKS turbo. Many challenges, but is has been fun since day one. But for us, everything is possible.
Either way, the car is down now, for installation of our custom 2.3 stroker kit, some Ferrea goodies, and the Tomei cams and gears that have been sitting in our office for the last 4 months.

But let me tell everybody: That turbo is sick on a 2.0 STOCK engine. I cannot wait to turn the booost to 45 psi on the c16 race gas, and see what the 2.3 stroker and the Tomei high lift cams will do.

When the car was running, we had a lot of fun. Like 43 psi run, several 35 psi runs, many 28 psi runs. A popped-off intake filter after the 43psi run ( tiume for a third BOV). Many highway kills, even at 0 psi boost ( Z28s and Mustangs).

Here are the last pictures of the car before the engine was pulled. Many of you have not seen it with the Gialla hood and the painted mesh, or the new stickers.

Here is a little updates list on the parts that are already INSTALLED:

- HKS T51R SPL turbo
- Bosch 1680cc injectors
- BJs intake manifold
- NX Express 150 wet shot
- Tomei procams/gears ( extremely high lift= more flow)
- Ferrea everything in the head
- 2.3 stroker kit with Ross Pistons/ Pauter rods
- Weldon 1700HP fuel pump
- Greddy 3row intercooler ( off a Supra)
- 4" downpipe and a 4" HKS Titanium muffler
- 5" race pipe for dyno/track use
- AEM standalone
- Tein Flex/ EDFC
- 60psi boost gauge
- etc...

Enjoy!
We are proud to have such a great car in our shop!

Thats crazy guys, every time I see it... jeje
Okay guys I have a couple of questionsand If they don't make anysense I apologize, I'm at home with a crazy fever, so I may sound messed up)
1 Didn't you put some 18x10in wheels on that car? Was it you guys? why did you put the stock tires on?

2. Did you put on a "Carbon Fiber Driveshaft"?? Does this even exist or this the fever talking? jeje Okay if so, how much weight did you save? How much does it cost and is it possible to put it on a street driven Evo? What performance enhancements did you see (have an idea but what your experience)?

3. And finally that stroker kit. Looks lovely. But 2.3Liters?! I thought the most that was possible was 2.2L. Was the bore increased too? What is the rev limit now? Because I plan to do the valve and head work that David Bushur is doing and we should be able to rev to 9500-10000rpm. Is the increase in diplacement worth losing the extra rpm? Or are you guys still going to rev the **** out of it and post some sick track numbers and not have reliability as your prime concern? Oh and how much was it w/ install also?

I think alot of people are going to go with a turbo set up that spools fast and give them like 400 to450 whp. Maybe just 380, so I would love to see how that stroker kit, changes the dyno graph and torque curve on a setup that is something like Buschur's BR475 or his BR500. I'm thinking of going with his BR500 cause Im looking for 430 to 450 on pump gas. Without that much gain in lag.

Thanks guys, thats it. jeje
Good luck with the car.
Omar

Also which intake manifold is that? How does it perform?

And about the Tomei's procams? I think you guys are officially the first ones with them in a Evo 8 right? Why didn't you go w/ the HKS 272's like everyone else?

OH, and how the hell did you beat stangs and z28's w/ 0psi???!
It was the NOS right ? jeje
And what do you think of jet hot coating, I see that you heat wrapped alot of that engine bay, I jet hot coating a good idea too? Is so which parts? Again for 450whp Evo.
I seriously want to see a video of this beast running. And make it as long as you want I got DSL, screw everyone with 56k! jaja
Peace!
Omar

What crank are you running (when fitted)? Any chance you will sell the stroker as a complete kit? Also why the change from JUN?

Dude, that red painted mesh looks good. Turned out better than I thought it would. Can't wait to see some results and hopefully get a ride sometime soon. What a beast

Yes, we will be selling the stroker complete, let us test it first on our cars.
